A distinct stormfront at my second visit there, watched from the dyke. In this weather you should not stay in the flat area outside the dyke. Shortly after I needed to seek shelter from the heavy rain in my car.
Right behind the dyke is the “Infohus” (info house) that is open during the day and offers books, maps, postcards and other souvenirs to tourists. At other times the parking site is free and the lavatory also remains open. Thus you can take cover there at any time.
